Welcome Back to Blogging

Okay, I know it has been a while since I have checked the blog. I find that every so often, I must take a break from the blogging world. Usually the real world starts moving so fast, becoming so busy, that I just can't even think. Since April much has happened.

We attended the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. It was wonderful and overwhelming at the same time. I landed some cool roving and some new knitting projects. We discovered angora goats, and even contemplated bringing one home to Still Pond. Once home, dh reminded us how much care our 3 rabbits, 2 dogs and 3 cats already take...and wouldn't a goat or two just overwhelm us? So, we put the idea on hold for a while.

Henry Loved the Goats!

While we were there Willy, my spinning son, tried out a new spinning wheel. My mother was so impressed that she bought one just like it!

On the spinning front, I have been trying out new dyeing techniques I learned at the Stoney Mountain Fibers Dyeing Class I attended. More on that later...but here is a sneak peek at some of the yarn I dyed from the class.

Yarn from Dyeing Class

Currently, I am working on knitting up some of my stash of handspun yarn. What fun1
